Tramac Dalmatians started, as do many dog breeders, with the purchase of a family pet. "Bandit" was our first Dalmatian, a birthday present for my brother, Tom. But as the years went by, Bandit clearly became my dad's dog. Bandit was the Fire Mascot for the City of Davis, California, where my dad, Jim Callea, was a Captain. Bandit could greet 60 kids at a time and his tail never stopped wagging, while collecting cookies from all the kids! Bandit introduced our family to the world of dog shows, and as they say, the rest is history.
Where did the name TRAMAC come from? It is my brother's and my initials put together,
Thomas Raymond And Margaret Anne Callea. We have a litter every now and then, always aiming to produce quality rather than quantity. All the dogs bred have health clearances necessary for the Dalmatian breed, BAER, OFA, CERF & Thyroid. All puppies are BAER, Temperament Tested & Micro-chipped prior to leaving for their new homes. Flash!! Mocha's babies are now on their own page - click here for the 3 week pictures (as well as links to the next couple of weeks!) AND - they all tested Bi-lateral hearing (for non-dal people - that means they can hear in both ears)
